I feel that the evolution of Ben Wyatt’s relationship with the parks & rec department is very similar to the evolution of my relationships with people. And his general manner and way of being tends to resonate with me. (Except I would never run for office in my youth. I am a lazy anarchist.)

Alex says that I am similar to Lisbeth in the way that I treat people irl. She is certainly one of the few female characters written by men that I identify with. (Most of our similarities are internal, I think, but there are a lot of them.)
